Cappry Rovers 4 Rathmullan Celtic 3
Cappry Rovers secured the points in this seven goal thriller played in Cappry Park when they came from three goals down. Rathmullan opened the scoring as early as the third minute when Kevin Mc Grath scored with a shot to the corner of the net when the Cappry defence failed to clear. Cappry had a few chances through Brendan Mc Laughlin, Patrick Mc Nulty and Alan Patton but good keeping and defensive work kept them from scoring.
Rathmullan shocked the home team on the half hour mark when Darragh Patton received a cross from Ryan Connolly, beat the off-side trap and scored. Cappry tried to get back into the game but could find no way through the visitor’s defence. Rathmullan scored their third goal in the fortieth minute when Ryan Connolly won the ball and his shot went over the top of the advancing Cappry keeper. Things were looking bleak for the home team but following a corner for Cappry on the stroke of half-time Patrick Mc Nulty rose highest to head the ball to the net and give the home team a lifeline for the second half.
Cappry got their second goal in the sixty third to get them back in the game. Mark Mc Ginty put Cappry on level terms in the seventy sixth minute when he shot to the net from outside the eighteen yard box following a free kick. Cappry’s tails were up now and they kept pushing forward for the winner and they were rewarded in the eighty fourth minute when Patrick Mc Nulty scored with a header to secure the points.
Team Performance from Cappry Rovers. Goalkeeper Shaun Black was best for Rathmullan Celtic. Referee: Liam Farren.
Glenea United 1 Milford United 1
In good conditions for football the points were shared after a hard fought game. It was the visitors that started the brightest with a Gary Merritt shot being cleared off the line by Eugene Maguire. Milford took the lead on 20 minutes when Mark Flood reacted quickest to a loose ball in the box and he forced the ball home from close range. Glenea tried hard to get into the game but were unable to create a clear cut chance. In the 2nd half the home side began to get on top and were rewarded on 65 minutes when Dean Gallagher headed home a Darren Mc Geever corner at the near post. Both sides pushed for a winner without really troubling either keeper. Team efforts from both sides. Referee: Marty Quinn.
Gweedore Celtic 0 St. Catherines 3
The league leaders came to an Screaban and extended their 100 % league record. St Catherines started brightly and created several half chances without troubling Mc Kelvey in the Gweedore nets. As the half progressed the home side came into the game and had two efforts from Odhran Mac Niallais that went narrowly wide.
The second half started as the first with St Catherines dominating possession. On 60 minutes Odhran Mac Niallais beat three players but his effort came off the post. On 65 minutes St. Catherines were awarded a penalty but Mc Kelvey guessed correctly to make the save. On 75 minutes a mistake in the Gweedore defence allowed Jason Noctor to score from 12 yards. St Catherines were then reduced to ten men but before Gweedore could make the extra man count another misplaced pass in the home defence allowed Conor O’Rourke to score. On 85 minutes a well hit strike from Noctor wrapped up the three points for Catherines. Best for Gweedore were Brendan Devine and Damien O’Sullivan. A strong team performance from St Catherines. Referee: Mick Langan
Kildrum Tigers 4 Lifford Celtic 3

Drumoghill F.C. 1 Cranford United 0
Drumoghill FC maintained their unbeaten start to the season with this hard earned victory over a dogged Cranford United team. Liam O’Donnell’s second half strike was enough to seal the points in a game that was low on chances but high on commitment. O’Donnell managed to evade the attentions of Chris Duffy to divert Chris Malseed’s cross into the net on 67 minutes to break the deadlock after the home side had dominated possession up until then. Despite their dominance Drumoghill created little of notable chances. They were comfortable throughout but found Darren Lynch, Sharkey and Arthur Lynch tough barriers in the Cranford rearguard who restricted Drumoghill to long range efforts. Cranford did apply a lot of pressure in the closing minutes in their search for an equaliser but Drumoghill held out for another precious three points. Referee: Ed Moore.

Whitestrand United 0 Lagan Harps 5
On a clear brisk day Whitestrand United took on Lagan Harps at Mc Garvey Park. This was a repeat of a cup game a few weeks ago. Whitestrand started strongly and Paul Lynch had a good effort on goal. Lagan began to exert some pressure and this told when Stephen O’Donnell scored on the break. Whitestrand had their chance to equalise when Paul Lynch narrowly headed wide. The second came towards the end of the first half following a foul on the edge of the Whitestrand box and Stephen O’Donnell scored his second when he floated the ball over the wall and into the far corner. The first half was a story of one side taking their chances and the other side not. The second half started with both teams knowing the importance of the next goal. This came when Stephen O’Donnell took home the match ball with his and Lagan’s third. Then Lagan closed out the game in excellent fashion when both Odhran Mc Macken and Christopher Toner piled the misery on Whitestrand and completed a comprehensive win for Lagan Harps. Best for Lagan was Stephen O’Donnell and best for Whitestrand was Sean Martin.
Castlefin Celtic 2 Gweedore United 0
Castlefin kept their good run of form going with a win over Gweedore. A scrappy game in Park View saw both teams struggle to settle on the ball for a large period of the first half. Castlefin had a good chance to take the lead after 25minutes but Ronan Tourish saw his strike well saved by the Gweedore keeper. Castlefin broke the deadlock on 42 minutes, a Barry Tourish ball across the box found Ronan Tourish who volleyed into the back of the net from 6 yards. Castlefin could have doubled the lead before half time but Ian Ward’s 20 yard strike hit the post. Castlefin started the second half the brighter and doubled their advantage on 50 minutes. Barry Tourish’s excellent run down the wing found JP Malley in the box who had a simple task to tap in from 3 yards.
Referee: Joe McHugh.
Keadue Rovers 7 Kerrykeel ’71 F.C. 1
Keadue Rovers continued their good start to this season with another fine win over Kerrykeel at Central Park on Sunday. Kerrykeel were to the fore from the start. They went two up on twenty eight minutes, again from a corner. Conor Greene rose to meet it at the near post. The away side got back into the game on thirty eight minutes when Colm Mc Gonagle found some space at the edge of the area and rifled a shot low to the net. Keadue hit their third when Luke Neely held off a defender on the right and slotted past the keeper. James Boyle fired to the corner for Keadue’s fifth on sixty five minutes. On seventy three minutes Ryan Greene made it 6-1 finishing well on the run. The scoring was completed two minutes from the end when Adam Neely was first to the ball after a free kick and slotted low under the keeper. The game started brightly with both teams creating clear cut chances but unable to find the net. It remained 0-0 at half time. Arranmore United 2 Orchard F.C. 2

Arranmore doubled their lead on 18 minutes when Declan Proctor scored from a difficult angle. Orchard never gave up and Mc Laughlin hit a screamer from 25 yards giving Proctor no chance. Team efforts by both sides. Referee: Barry Hunter,
