The Counter Deli, located on the Canal Road, Letterkenny are celebrating after being included in The McKenna’s Guide for 2015, adding to their successes in 2013 and 2014.

The McKennas’ Guide Plaque (displayed outside the premises of those included in the guide) is seen as the most respected badge of merit in Irish contemporary food.

The plaque is awarded as the ultimate signal of culinary creativity and imagination.

John and Sally McKenna have described Richard Finney, owner of The Counter Deli as a man who makes things happen and praised his drive and enthusiasm that is going to see him become a serious player in Donegal’s food culture.

The award reflects not only the quality of the wine and food produce and level of service, but also the pro-activity of organising wine events, and in particular their famous private wine tasting parties.

The next event is a Food & Wine evening in Solis, Lough Eske on Friday 5th December at 7:30 pm.

Together with best food and wine available (5 courses and 5 wines of it!) but you also get great value at €60 per person!

Transport is also provided between Letterkenny and Solis by way of private bus for €10 per person return.

A perfect opportunity for a night out with the girls or a Christmas work do!

For more information or to book, drop a line to Richard at 074 9120075 or info@thecounterdeli.com
