EIRCOM broadband customers in Moville thought they’d lost the plot when they were told their service was performing to plan.

Residents have complained and complained, saying their access to the internet had crawled to a halt.

But it was only when customers began talking to each other about the problem, they realised the whole town’s network was a ‘disaster’.

Eircom is still insisting that its network in Moville is fine.

However eight customers contacted Donegal Daily today to complain.

“We can’t even get onto the internet, or even send a basic email and when you ring eircom they just say they can’t see any problems with it,” said one frustrated businessman.

“No-one is taking the complaints seriously. The connection wasn’t great in the first place but now it’s just a joke. It’s like being back to dial-up,” he said.
