Andrew McElhinney of O’Donnell’s Bakery, just one of the many businesses booked to exhibit at tomorrow’s Doing Business in Donegal showcase and trade fair in the Mount Errigal hotel.

Gifts, candy, crafts and lots more besides will be on offer to the public tomorrow (FRI) in the Mount Errigal Hotel from 12 noon to 5pm, when seventy local businesses come together for a fantastic Doing Business in Donegal showcase hosted by Donegal’s Local Enterprise Office.

Friday’s event – which is free – is just the latest Doing Business in Donegal showcase, building on a very successful trade-only event held just before last Christmas.

“We had a similar number of businesses taking part last year in the event at the Clanree Hotel where the emphasis was on networking, but this year the event is open to the public as well from noon until 5pm,” Michael Tunney, Head of Local Enterprise, explained.

He added that the seventy businesses fortunate to be allocated space for Friday’s Showcase, represent a wide range of sectors in Donegal and, he said, the variety on offer means there will be something there to suit everyone.

“The businesses who are exhibiting is representative of many of the small and medium local enterprises that exist in Donegal. There will be 70 stands with food, gifts, sweets, crafts, books etc on sale, but there will also be services too like photography, marketing, graphic design, PR, health and fitness and more.

Other stands will be of interest to those looking for services for house and home and will feature such areas as construction, insulation, showers, gates and stairs etc.”

With only weeks to go now until Christmas, Friday’s showcase could be the place to find that perfect gift, but more than simply a Christmas gift fair it will also have an extensive range of commercial services on offer to members of the public or indeed to other businesses who can pop along on the day.

“The great thing about Friday’s showcase is the variety that will be there because it means whether you are looking for gifts or vouchers, advice or information, or if you simply want to browse and meet some of the county’s entrepreneurs and business people in a warm and friendly environment, then it ticks all the boxes.”

The Doing Business in Donegal Showcase will take place in the Mount Errigal Hotel on Friday, November 28 with free admission and doors open to the public from 12 noon until 5pm.
