An Anti Bullying Art Exhibition in The Exchange in Buncrana has been a huge hit with the public.
The exhibition, which runs for two days only, opened yesterday and continues today between 1 and 7pm.
Yesterday was a huge success with almost 300 visitors including a visit from Minister Joe McHugh who was extremely supportive and very impressed by the art included.
There is art from children and adults of all ages, and there are approx 250 submissions on exhibit. The purpose of the event was to create a clear representation of how children feel about bullying and how it effects them, and seeing their work all displayed together, and alongside the art submitted by the teen and adult artists, it is a very powerful display.
We invite everyone to come along if they are in the area for a few minutes and to bring their children too. It really is beautiful and it shares a strong message that bullying hurts, it leaves scars and children and indeed adults have so much to say about it through their art.
