DONEGAL County Council says its fleet of gritters will hit the roads of Donegal tonight as forecasters predict a bitterly cold night.
The council staff will grit all the main routes from 4pm.
Met Eireann is forecasting lows of -2C with frost and icy patches forming with some hail or sleet showers affecting Donegal towards dawn.
