DONEGAL WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SETTING DANA’S BROTHER’S HOUSE ON FIRE

A woman has pleaded guilty to setting fire to a house belonging to a brother of singer and former presidential candidate Dana Rosemary Scallon.

Stacey Doran appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court today.

She is charged with setting fire to a property belonging to Mr John Brown at Main Street, Newtowncunningham on April 11th, 2011.

Doran (29), of Ballybegley, Newtowncunningham, pleaded guilty to the charge but said nothing else.

She is charged along with another woman who is also before the courts in relation to the same charge.

Judge John O’Hagan adjourned the case until April, 2015 for sentence and asked to examine suitability for a probation or community service report.
