Denis-Tips-723x1024Transport manager of The Cope Dungloe, Denis ‘Packedy’ Boyle, has issued an appeal for motorists to be extra vigilant as road conditions set to worsen.

The driving expert has urged motorists to take extra care when out on the roads this Christmas.

Forecasters have predicted more severe cold weather again tonight, with snow expected to fall in many parts of the county.

With many roads expected to be treacherous in parts, Boyle has compiled a list of tips (outlined above) to keep you safe while driving on the road.

Boyle told Donegal Daily, “Due to the adverse weather conditions we’re experiencing road conditions are treacherous.

“With that weather expected to worsen it’s important everybody drives safely and remains vigilant at all times when travelling on the roads.

“I’ve compiled a list of TEN tips that if you apply should keep you safe when you’re out and about.

MET EIREANN has issued a weather warning for tonight, with many predicting tonight could be the coldest night of the year.

So if you’re travelling early in the morning, take it easy as black ice could be on the roads.
