The victorious Termon ladies…you could be a coach to champions too

WITH Termon winning the All-Ireland club title, work is underway on producing the next generation of All-Ireland champions across Donegal.

The Donegal Ladies Gaelic Football Association has announced details of a series of courses for the next generation of coaches.

All the details are below on how to book your place:

Donegal LGFA dates confirmed by the Coaching Officer and approved by Croke Park and Coaching Ireland.

FUNDAMENTALS COACHING-31st JANUARY.

A Fundamentals Coaching course will take place on the 31st of January from 10am until 4pm, registration will start at 9.45 & course will start sharp 10am. Participants need to be over 16yrs. Venue tbc. The requirement to run this course is 20 min.

This Course is a MUST for any person coaching or acting as a mentor with teams/clubs in ladies football clubs in Donegal. Coaching qualification from LGFA are designed specifically to assist and help coaches/Mentors to understand our game better and to know the proper rules! Coaching qualifications from other codes does not cover coaches for Ladies football. This information will be relayed to all clubs and DGL LGFA will expect clubs to comply with his simple rule.

CLUB MENTORS PROGRAMME 5th FEBUARY.

A club mentors Programme has been organise for the 5th Febuary 7.30pm start,registration 7.15, this is a 3hr course. Venue tbc. The Target group here are All Underage and senior club mentors. Participants must be over 16yrs. The workshop will cover a refresher in rules of ladies football and an overview of Ladies Injury Fund Scheme and general info on proper procedure for participation in our game.

This Workshop/Course is covered by County Bye Law and club attendance compulsory!

The Level 1 Coaching course is – Day 1 February 17, Day 2 March 21.
