MANORCUNNINGHAM SCOUTS AND GUIDES BRING PEACE LIGHT TO DONEGAL

The Peace Light from Bethlehem is a continuous light, from the Grotto of Christ’s Birth in the Church of the Nativity, in Bethlehem, carried throughout the world by Scouts & Guides.Peace light

Each year numerous scout groups bring the Peace Light to their area and celebrate by hosting a service where members of the local community can share the Peace Light.

12th Donegal (Manorcunningham) Scout Group have brought the Light to Donegal for the past number of years and are hosting a service the local Community Centre for anyone wishing to collect a light.

On night they will also collecting for WE CARE LK FOOD BANK and would appreciate if those attending could bring along something they would be very grateful.

Foods required are;

• Powdered Milk

• Tinned Food

• Washing Up Liquid

• Washing Powder

• Tea/Coffee

• Sugar

• Rice/Pasta

• Biscuits

• Soup etc.

I hope that you can help me this year, to spread the word about this very simple and humble Service, light refreshments will be served afterwards. Please bring a candle.
