The Glenties duo of Anthony Thompson and Leo McLoone may not be part of the Donegal squad this year.
New manager Rory Gallagher has admitted that Thompson is now working in London and may not return in the immediate future.
It is also understood that McLoone plans to travel and may not be available for the season ahead.
Gallagher told the Irish Times “Anthony’s fairly clearcut, he’s working in the UK at the minute, himself and his girlfriend are both over there. We’ll just have to monitor the work situation.”
Rory Kavanagh is also understood to be pondering his future.
Having been given a more lengthy break than his team-mates, the 32 year old is said to be considering calling time on his inter-county career.
The loss of the three stalwarts will be a major blow to Gallagher in his first season in charge.
