Gerard Carlin, 24, of Dungorman Upper, Castlefin appeared before Letterkenny District Court today.
The court was told that Carlin resisted arrested when approached by Gardai at Hillbillies Restaurant at Lower Main Street on December 7th last.
The court heard that Carlin had to be restrained by his friends after being caught pushing a shoving a shouting.
He was asked by Gardai to calm down but he continued to resist and was eventually arrested.
Judge Paul Kelly asked Carlin if he had a drink problem.
Carlin, who is a farmer, admitted he did have a drink problem.
“Your drinking is getting you into trouble and you should do something about it,” added Judge Kelly.
He fined Carlin €150.
