The on-going speculation linking Seamus Coleman with a move to Manchester United is refusing to go away, and reports in England this morning suggest Louis Van Gaal is set to swoop for the talented full-back.
Coleman had been linked with a move to Manchester United while his former manager David Moyes was in charge at Old Trafford.
The move never materialized and Coleman went on to enjoy a wonderful season for the Merseyside club last season.
Speculation centred on Coleman again in the summer when LVG was appointed as the new Manchester United manager.
Reports recently suggested that Manchester United will bid €20 million for Coleman in the summer to solve their defensive problems at right full-back.
However, with Rafael suffering a nasty injury in their FA Cup win over Yeovil Town, The Liverpool Echo are reporting LVG will attempt to sign Coleman before the window shuts at the end of January.
Everton are currently enduring their worst run of form since Roberto Martinez took over and lifelong Manchester United fan Coleman would surely jump at the chance at the opportunity to move to Old Trafford.
