THE IDA has said 125 extra jobs were created in the North West last year – out of 15,200 new jobs created in the State in 2014.
The organisation had boasted at a press conference this week about the increased job creation – with impressive new figures nationally.
They also boasted that more than a third of the new jobs were outside Dublin and Cork.
But less that one per cent were in Donegal/Sligo/Leitrim.
And the IDA wouldn’t say how many were created in Donegal out of the 125 extra positions.
In total 316 jobs were created last year but due to job losses the net gain was just 125.
An IDA spokesman defended the non-release of county by county data.
“We are not releasing that information as companies would then become identifiable,” he said.
