THE head of the Traffic Corps in Donegal has appealed for motorists to stay at home unless absolutely necessary as road conditions worsen tonight – and officers help motorists whose vehicles ended up in the ditch.
Gardaí are at the scene of an incident at Gortlee in Letterkenny where two vehicles have left the road.
Conditions across the county remain hazardous.
Inspector Michael Harrison has asked all motorists to slow down and only to make journeys when necessary.
He warned further bad weather later in the week will also need to be heeded.
