DDTV: Watch UFC sensation Conor McGregor declare that if his fight with Jose Aldo was to fall through then he would fight the newly signed UFC fighter Joseph Duffy from Burtonport.
Skip to 33.00 minutes into the video to hear McGregor’s views on Duffy being signed by the UFC.
McGregor told the crowd of media assembled, “Let’s say if Jose pulls out, then lets bring in the last man to defeat Conor McGregor, because that sells as well.
McGregor added, “To be honest I signed Joseph, I actually looked and thought if someone pulls out Joseph can slot in.
“Joseph is a good guy, we fought many years ago, it was a different era, but if that fight presents itself you best believe I want that fight.
Duffy was signed by the UFC a fortnight ago and debuts in Dallas in March against veteran fighter Vagner Rocher.
Duffy’s notoriety has risen over the last six months because he was the last man to inflict defeat on McGregor and the UFC’s other Irish star Norman Parke.
Two devastating KO’s from Duffy on his return to Cage Warriors seen the UFC move swiftly to secure the Burtonport man to the division.Tags:
