A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a collision that occurred just outside Fintown earlier.
The single vehicle crash happened on the main Fintown to Glenties road.
However, the car left the road just half a mile outside of Fintown.
It is believed the adverse weather conditions caused the driver to lose control of the car and skid off the road.
The woman was injured but not seriously.
Gardaí are appealing to all drivers to take it easy on the roads and are asking people to avoid any unnecessary journeys.
Heavy snow has fallen in many parts of Donegal overnight and that has made driving conditions treacherous.
