There are busy scenes in Letterkenny General Hospital this morning with a total of 41 people waiting to get beds.
This includes patients from accident and emergency who are waiting to get a bed.
Staff say the situation is one of the worst they have seen since the 1980s.
Patients are in corridors and in the Day Services Unit.
It follows a build-up of admissions over the weekend.
One staff member told Donegal Daily “It’s always the same after a busy weekend. The situation is just crazy. People are on beds everywhere.
“A long-term solution just has to be found.”Tags:
