Dunfanaghy Golf Club Notes:
It is great to see the fairways back to good conditions after all the rain we have had of late. The weather forecast is good for the week ahead so everyone will get the chance to get much needed practise.
This weekend the six nation’s rugby begins. There was a great atmosphere in the clubhouse for the six nations last year. Let’s hope it continues this year. The first game is on Friday night with England v Wales. Remember there are free bites on a Friday evening, so come along and enjoy the atmosphere.
Remember it is the time of the year for annual subscriptions to be paid. Please contact the club as soon as possible to make payment.

• Wednesday 4th of February 2015 – Open Singles Stableford (soup and sandwiches)
• Saturday 7th of February 2015 – Open 4BBB Stableford
• Sunday 8th of February 2015 – Gents Stableford competition
N.B. Remember we are dropping off the fairways from the 1st of January to give the fairways a well-deserved rest.
4 BBB Winter Open Competition:
We are coming to the end of another month and there has been good numbers participating in this competition in January. I know everyone will want to play in the Grand Final in June. So don’t leave it too late to try and qualify. You are able to play in this completion on any day of the week and with who ever you wish to play with, so long as they have a GUI or ILGU handicap. Best of luck to everyone in February. Remember the best club team outside of 1st,2nd and 3rd qualifies for the final each month.
Function Room for Private parties:
We have hosted a number of private functions in the clubhouse recently and these have proved to be a great success. If you, or someone you know, is organising a private function please be aware that the clubhouse is available free of charge, with exclusive use for the occasion. So far, the feedback that we have been getting is that the golf club is the ideal venue for parties of up to one hundred people. Please make contact with Sarah if you are interested in holding a function at the clubhouse (074 91 36335)
