A farmer has promised a judge he will turn up in court – after he drowns the shamrock!
Leslie Stewart from Glenswilly, appeared in court charged with allowing his animals to winder onto a public road.
Speaking at today’s sitting of Letterkenny District Court, Judge James Faughnan adjourned the case until March 18th.
He warned Stewart that he should turn up for the case on the day.
“Make sure you turn up. It’s the day after St.Patrick’s Day,” said the judge.
He accused replied “I will. I’ll have the shamrock well and truly drowned by that stage.”
