After getting a bye for the first game our minor team opened their league campaign with a defeat to neighbours Red Hugh’s at the cross on Sunday morning.
MacCumhaills played with the aid of a breeze in 1st half and at half time the score was Red Hugh’s 1-03 MacCumhaills 0-06.
The goal was a defensive mix-up resulting from a free.
Some great scores were taken in the 1st half. In the 2nd half, with the aid of
the breeze Red Hugh’s pushed on and out- scored MacCumhaills by 2-02
to 0-01, one of the goals from a penalty and one late on.
The lads showed great honesty and endeavour in a very positive display.
Next game, League Round 3 is against Convoy in Ballybofey on 14th of March.
