U18’s beat Gweedore Utd on penalties in the 1/4 final of the Colin Breslin Cup today after the game finished 1:1 after extra time. Stephen Carr scored the Cappry goal with a delightful chip in the second half of normal time. The lads were unlucky not to win the game in normal time as they hit the woodwork several times. Well done to all the boys for coming through a difficult game and they will now face Swilly Rovers away in the semi-final.
CAPPRY ROVERS U16
Our u16’s were away to Castlefin in the Cup Semi-Final and came away with an excellent 4-0 win with Shaun Rodgers, Kyle O’Meara and Sean McBride (2) grabbing the Cappry goals.
This set up a Cup Final against Convoy Arsenal which will be played on Wednesday evening in The Curragh with a 7.30pm kick off.
Best of luck lads.
CAPPRY ROVERS U14
Our u14’s played 2nd placed Drumkeen Utd in the league and came away with a very good point. Joel Bradley Walsh getting the all important goal for Cappry.
Next up is a home game against Convoy Arsenal on Wednesday evening in Cappry Park with a 6pm kick off.
CAPPRY CRUSADERS U12
Cappry Crusaders U12 team made the long journey to Keadue for the first game of the cup on Saturday 28th March. Having only played one competitive game in the last 6 weeks, our boys found it hard to adapt to the windy conditions. Playing with the wind in the first half Cappry failed to use it to their advantage and went in at half time 1-0 down. A strong half time talk brought our boys out fighting in the second half but try as they might they could not find an equalising goal. Tim Scanlon and Johnny Griffin were simply outstanding in defence with Jason McElchar putting in a great display on the right wing. Many thanks to Keadue for their hospitality and for a great game. Next game is against Letterkenny next weekend at Cappry!
