This week end sees the start of the year’s 18 hole competitions. The Singles Stableford Competition on the first week of Easter the 5th and 7th April was sponsored by Magee of Donegal.
Competitions on the 12th and 14th April are Singles Stableford competitions sponsored by the Sandhouse Hotel.
Ladies Golf Taster Evening
A Tester Evening for Ladies who wish to try out golf will take place on Tuesday the 28th of April from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The evening will offer the opportunity to experience the game of golf in a fun and friendly environment, is free of charge and Golf equipment will be supplied.

The Competition on Easter Sunday was a stableford competition, sponsored by Magee of Donegal. On a nice bright Spring day good scores were returned, with the best on the day being returned by Padraig Farragher, he was closely followed by our Treasurer, Colm Campbell, in second place, just ahead of Martin Carr and Shane Brown. Damien Mulhern took the Gross Prize.

Monday 6th April
A Club Competition took place on Monday and it took a break of tie to separate the winners. Gary O, Byrne came out on top, with Markus Paasch taking second place just ahead of Barry Kennedy. Robert Francis Brogan won the Gross Prize.

Friday 3rd April
Declan Murrin from Narin & Portnoo took the premier spot on a break of tie from Darren McDaid in the Good Friday Open. With a stiff breeze blowing, scoring was tough and Declan and Darren’s 37pts was 4 clear of 3rd & 4th placed Des Fitzpatrick and Mark Gilmurray (Castlehume). Matthew McGowan won the Gross

The Ulster Cup Team were out on Saturday when they played Killymoon in the first leg, and they won five matches out of seven. They now go to Killymoon to try to secure two and a half matches to progress to the next round.
Our younger members took on Mourne Golf Club in the first round of the Fred Daly on Easter Monday where all put in very good performances and secured four matches.

This week was our first 9 Hole competition of 2015, 28 players turned out which was very good on a wet and windy evening in early April.
The winner with a score of 21 points was Liam Farren, 2nd Place went to Martin Travers with 20 Points(BOT). The prize for Past Members was won by Sean Diver with 19 Points.
Our Annual Spring outing will be taking place on Saturday 25th April at Cruit Island Golf Club. If you are interested in travelling please add your name to the list and provide payment in full to the Treasurer before the 17th April.
