Division 3 Minor League Final
Cloughaneely v Gaeil Fhánada Minors played on Wednesday evening in the Northern Division 3 Final in Downings @ 7p.m. Our minors ended their league campaign with a good victory over Cloughaneely . Played in ideal conditions in Downings, Fanad were slow to settle until an Eoghan Carr goal helped them to a four point lead at half time.The second half was a real competitive affair with both teams upping their game but the Gaels maintained their four point lead going into the final quarter.But then Cloughaneely struck for a goal which they followed with a point and it was game on.The Gaels showed great character and after clever play by Liam Walsh, Eoghan Carr hit the net for the second time to put the Gaels into a three point lead which they held on to with composure to the final whistle. The Division 3 cup was presented to a very happy Fanad captain Conor Carr.On the night Fanad got big performances from keeper Oran Blaney defenders Odhran Shiels and Tiernan Cushnan, James Gallagher had control at midfield supported by Paul O’Connor and Patrick Carr while up front Eoghan and Niall Carr kicked some vital scores. This team has real potential to build on this performance in the championship if we can get all our panel on board after the Leaving Cert and the return of Aiden Heraghty from injury.

Gaeil Fhánada are developing a new pitch to serve all teams within the club with a view to helping each and every player find their talent within the GAA community. With this in mind, we would call on you to help us raise the much needed funds to ensure the success of the development draw. We need help selling the tickets and if everyone could give a little time it would lessen the burden on all. If you don’t like selling, we also need people who will drive on particular evenings. Match Day Passes & Club Donegal Polo Shirts
We have a number of match day passes on sale which may be of interest to those who attend a lot of club fixtures during the year. The card will give holders admittance to all senior fixtures, league and championship run by Donegal County Board. It does not include intercounty or underage games. The card offers excellent value for money. As we have a limited number, cards will be sold on a first come basis. Contact Fiona Shiels to purchase.

VHI Cúl Camp
Gaeil Fhánada C.L.G. will once again host a Cúl Camp from July 14th to 19th. Bookings can be made online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie or you can contact Fiona Shiels if you would like to pay by instalment.
