Our U8s travelled to Gweedore on Friday evening for games against Gweedore and Cloughaneely. It was a tough evening for football in Magheragallon, with constant rain throughout the games. We had 2 teams taking part – all the boys and the only girl Kayla Sweeney from the Ross displayed their skills in tough conditions. Thanks to Sean Nancy and the Gweedore club for a very well organised blitz, to the tea ladies for the refreshments afterwards and special thanks to all the parents who travelled and helped out in any way. Also to the coaches Martin McAteer, Oisin Shiels and Patrick Carr.

SWILLY MULROY CREDIT UNION GAEIL FHÁNADA BORD Na nÓG PARISH LEAGUE 2015.
Our Parish League started up last Wednesday evening 8th of July in Tria Lough for boys and girls u8, u10, and u12. Big numbers turned up for the start of this enjoyable event which will run every Wednesday in July – Wednesday 8th, Wednesday 15th, Wednesday 22nd, Wednesday 29th, with the finals on Friday 31st in conjuction with the Fanad Festival. A massive thanks to the Swilly Mulroy Credit Union who are sponsoring the cups, trophies and medals for the parish league. This gesture is very much appreciated by all at Gaeil Fhánada C.L.G.

Gaeil Fhánada Cúl Camp
Please note that there is a change to our Cúl Camp date. The Gaeil Fhánada Camp will now take place from August 10th to 14th at Tria Locha. This is to accommodate those who wish to take part in other camps in July.
Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls – between the ages of 6 and 13 – with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games
Activities are GAME – BASED – a strong emphasis is placed on skill acquisition – and are organised in an age appropriate manner with a view to:
optimising learnin, enhancing friendships, improving physical & psychological well being
promoting school and club links
KEY FEATURES ABOUT KELLOGG’S GAA CÚL CAMPS
The camps are structured so that a different aspect of the game is worked on each day.
The programme involves coaching specific skills of the game and the opportunity for children to put into practice what they have learned through small sided games.
On the last day of the camp a “blitz” will be organised to provide each child with an introduction to competitive games.
Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps – are run throughout the summer from Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 2.30pm, in all 32 Counties and overseas. (see Camp venues for dates).
Attendance is open to primary school children aged 6 years to 13 years.
Camp costs are as follows €55 for 1st. child; €45 for 2nd child; €40 for 3rd and subsequent children.
