DONEGAL Ladies star Geraldine McLaughlin had to be substituted during a club championship clash today.
The Termon player rolled around the ground in pain at O’Donnell Park after falling over during the match against St Eunan’s.
The teams were playing in the county senior championship semi-final which Termon won comfortably.
The visitors were well ahead when McLaughlin went over and appeared to have suffered a serious knee injury.
She had to hobble off the pitch.
Donegal play Armagh in their All-Ireland quarter final in Clones in 13 days time and county manager Davy McLaughlin will be hoping McLaughlin recovers in time for the game.
The star county forward returned from injury in the spring after suffering injury during Termon’s run to the All-Ireland club championship last year.
In the game itself, Eunan’s were holding their own for the first 20 minutes and led by three points at one stage.
But Termon eventually pulled ahead in a very physical game, hitting four goals to the hosts single netting opportunity.
Termon, the holders, will now play Glenfinn in the county final after they defeated Four Masters in their semi-final at Mac Cumhaill Park.
Elsewhere Ardara beat Carndonagh in the intermediate championship. N Muire were beaten by Buncrana in the Junior A Championship.
