Tir Chonaill Gaels Club News:
The seniors got off to a winning start in the defence of the championship on Saturday afternoon in Ruislip. A closely contested first half in warm conditions saw the saw the Gaels lead at the break with a score of 1-04 to 0-4.
Despite conceding an early goal, the boys upped the momentum in the second half with a few well taken points in quick succession. Shortly after a disallowed goal, a well taken goal from Adrian Hanlon after a few quick interchanges gave the Gaels a commanding lead. A goal from the Towers in the dying seconds of the game brought the final score to 2-13 to 2-06. Best on the day were Brian Duddy, Marty McCoy and Adrian Hanlon notching up the vital goals.
Good luck to the reserves enter the first round of the championship next Saturday in Ruislip at 4pm against the North London Shamrocks.
