FAI AND FINN HARPS HOST GOALKEEPING COACHING CLINIC

In association with the Finn Harps Academy, The Football Association of Ireland Emerging Talent Programme will host a free goalkeeper coaches clinic at St. Columba’s College Stranorlar on Sunday January 3rd 2016.

The clinic will run from 11am to 3pm under the direction of Michael Schlingerman, Women’s Senior International Goalkeeping Coach and FAI Goalkeeper Coach Education instructor.

This event is open to all coaches working with goalkeepers aged 10 to 16 years and will focus on the development of young goalkeepers, how they should be coached and the latest trends in elite underage goalkeeping. The clinic will focus on both theoretical and practical demonstrations.

Those coaches wishing to attend can register with finnharpsunderage@gmail.com
All attendees should bring note taking materials.

11:00 – 11:45 Presentation on the football structure and the development of young goalkeepers

12:00 – 2:45 Interactive practical coaching session and pitch demonstrations

2:45 – 3:00 Review and Q&A
