JOHNNY’S HOME! MISSING DEAF DOG HOME AFTER TWO DAYS MISSING!

Johnny's home!

Johnny’s home!

After two nights lost in the back lanes of Ramelton, missing elderly dog Johnny was found this morning when he walked into a local man’s house.

Luckily the man recognised him from the Donegal Daily’s article he had seen the day before and so put him in the garage and contacted his owners to come and get him.

Johnny is nearly 18 years old, deaf and has arthritis and was last seen running through a forest on Saturday afternoon when he became scared by the people who had spotted him.

He finally turned up several miles away from where he went missing and apart from being very dirty and wet from sleeping rough and extremely hungry, he is thankfully all in one piece.

His owners who like to say a huge thank you to the people of Ramelton who shared his details on social media, reported sightings, went out searching for him, trekked through muddy forests and finally kept him safe and who were an enormous help in getting him back, for which they are really grateful.

How Johnny got out a closed gate in the first place remains a mystery and he isn’t telling, but all’s well that ends well so many thanks again to everyone who helped find him.
