WEATHER WARNING ISSUED AS HEAVY RAIN, SLEET (AND MAYBE SNOW) ON WAY

MET EIREANN has issued a Yellow Status weather warning for Donegal tonight.

After a lovely calm winter’s day in the county, rain will move slowly over the county later with rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm expected.

The alert is in place until 9am tomorrow.

Rain will fall as sleet – and maybe as snow on higher ground – overnight.
