ON THE OCHE…Donegal’s Jordan Boyce loses World Youth Darts final

IT is a long way from Donegal to the famous Lakeside arena of darts in England but Jordan Boyce did himself proud today on the oche.

The teenager from Newtowncunningham was two sets to one up in the five set match in the BDO World Youth Darts final.

The 16-year-old needed only one more set to clinch the title and to be crown World Youth Darts champion.

But England’s Josh Richardson came back strong to win the match and the final by three sets to two.

Joe is certainly a star in the making.

Hard luck today but let’s hope Joe comes back even stronger for the 2017 tournament at the Lakeside and bring the trophy all the way back to Donegal.
