The list of nominees for the 2015 Donegal Sports Star Awards
function, which takes place in the Mount Errigal Hotel on Friday 29th
January, has been released.
Over 190 names have been listed for awards in 40 categories.
Just two people, athlete Kieran Murray from Ramelton and Buncrana
golfer Oliver Doherty, know they will definitely be receiving
awards on the night.
Doherty won a silver medal at the World Special Olympics in Los
Angeles at the end of July giving him the Special Athlete category
award.
In August there was double gold for Murray at the World Transplant
Games in Argentina. Murray who is a kidney transplant recipient was
first in the 5k and 1,500 metres and also took bronze in the 800m at
the global games.
