Nerissa is through to the next round of Voice of Ireland

THERE were mixed fortunes for Donegal singers on TV’s the Voice of Ireland tonight.

Killybegs girl Megan Quinn was in tears after failing to turn the judges’ chairs on the showtonight – but she was told she could be wonderful.

However Nerissa Moore from Killea did turn one chair – for judge Bressie.

Model Nerissa gave a wonderful performance and Bressie declared afterwards: “She’s great; I’m really looking forward to working with her.”

Meanwhile Megan, 20, and who is studying music in Maynooth and is very passionate about music, has won numerous local competitions with her voice.

She sang ‘Ooh La La’ by The Faces, playing the guitar herself.

She was encouraged to enter the competition by her colleagues and family as she is always singing at work and around the house.

However none of the four judges turned for her during her performance.

But all the judges said she had a great voice and could go a long way with some voice coaching.
