MAILEY SIGNS BACK FOR HARPS AS SQUAD STARTS TO TAKE SHAPE FOR NEW SEASON

Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan has acquired the signature of Packie Mailey as he continues to add to his squad for the forthcoming Premier Division season.

Mailey had to undergo surgery last season and missed the start of the campaign – he suffered some setbacks on his return – but then gained full fitness and played a huge role in helping Harps win promotion.

His leadership qualities and presence at the back for Harps are vital – and his return will be warmly welcomed by the Finn Harps faithful.

He agreed to sign back earlier today and will join up with the rest of the squad for the side’s first pre-season training session tonight at the AURA Leisure Centre.

The only worry for Harps fans at present is the lack of new faces at the club – the only two new players brought in were former Manchester United starlet Ryan McConnell and Former Derry City striker Ryan Curran.

Horgan is hopeful of adding more players before the close of the transfer window – but has admitted he has been burned by some players.
