HEARTBREAKING VIDEO REMEMBERS ‘SMILING’ DECKIE HOLIAN

A heartbreaking video of tragic truck-driver Declan Holian has been compiled by his friends.

Declan, or Deckie as he was known to many, was one of two drivers who died following a horrific smash between Carrickmacross and Castleblayney around 6am yesterday.

Now in an emotional tribute to the 30 year old who was known for his infectious smile and love of trucks, many moments of Declan’s short but proud life are recalled.

Among them are pictures with Lorraine McGarvey, the love of his life and the woman he was due to marry in March.

There are also pictures of Declan with his young son Dylan, 11, whom he shared so many wonderful father and son moments.

The wider community has gathered around the Holian and Hegarty families to offer them their support at this difficult time.

We at Donegal Daily offer our sincere sympathy to Declan’s family and friends and are proud to share the link to the wonderful video which captures a small part of the life of a young man whom people only spoke good things about.

Rest in peace Declan.
