DONEGAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY CREATES NEW JOBS ALL OVER IRELAND

JOB VACANCIES: Due to the continued growth of their company nationwide the following positions are now available. (The positions will be based in the Dublin/Leinster area)

TEAM LEADERS FOR GROUNDWORK OPERATIONS:

  • Must be able to work on their own initiative.
  • Must be able to forecast and achieve the required progress.
  • Take responsibility for staff management and quality control.

GROUND WORKERS:

Minimum TEN years experience in…

  • Drainage
  • General Site Works
  • Substructure
  • Concrete Works.

EXCAVATOR OPERATORS:

  • Minimum TEN year’s experience in groundwork’s.
  • Current tickets.

PROJECT MANAGER – CONSTRUCTION AND GROUNDWORK’S:

  • Applicant must have organisational capability – IT skills and previous experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant managerial qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
  • Applicant must have experience on working on large civil and construction projects where programme and quality are critical.

QUANTITY SURVEYORS:

SENIOR ROLE:

  • Must have relevant third level qualification – and at least six years relevant experience with a main contractor.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team – but also on their own initiative.
  • Must have excellent communications skills and be proficient in common IT applications.
  • Must have experience in mid to high level tendering and contracts management.
  • Must have a proven track record of tendering and delivering large construction projects.

JUNIOR ROLE:

  • Must have one year experience and relevant third level qualification.
  • Have experience in measurement, presenting reports and building up rates.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and project.
  • Must be willingly to learn and adapt to the required style and pace of works.
  • Must have an understanding of pricing materials and basic value engineering.

HEALTH AND SAFETY PERSONNEL:

  • Must have experience dealing with Irish construction industry on a large scale – main contractor projects.
  • Must be capable of working as part of a team and also on their own initiative.
  • Must be able to carry out site audits and produce reports.
  • Capable of monitoring H&S requirements as works progress.
  • Familiar with the standards required in safe T and isoch certification.
  • Ideally will have a relevant third level qualification.

SITE ENGINEERS – JUNIOR AND SENIOR:

  • Must have relevant third level qualifications – and experience in setting out and surveying using Leica instruments.
  • Recent experience in Irish construction industry will be an advantage.
  • Must be available for work in Leinster area.
  • The roles will include assisting project management with material orders and approvals.
