MOTORISTS are being warned to drive with car today after a heavy overnight frost, hail and snow in some parts of Co Donegal.
Gardai are warning motorists to expect long delays on the morning commute.
A Met Eireann weather alert remains in place until noon after a bitterly cold night in the county saw temperatures drop to -5C in some places.
All main routes are passable with care after Donegal County Council workers spent the night gritting the roads.
However many rural roads are in a dangerous state.
It’s the same in housing developments – and pedestrians are being warned to take care on untreated footpaths.
