A judge has struck out a number of GO-SAFE speeding cases brought before him at a sitting of Letterkenny District Court this morning.
Judge James Faughnan gave his reason for doing so – in that the accused were either present or represented in circumstances where he has requested submissions from the DPP’s office.
In the middle of 2015 – arising from the cross-examining of the co-founder of the GO-SAFE company in early 2014.
Directions issued there from which have yet to be complied with – such directions pre-dating the Gilvarry case in the High Court.
Fifteen alleged cases of speeding in total were struck out and the balance of the matters were adjourned.
