Local businessman John Watson is getting behind Pramerica.

It’s not often the website of a local business crashes and the owner is happy – well kind of!

John Watson, of Watson Home and Hire in Letterkenny, this week offered a very generous 20% on top of all ShopLK vouchers.

The offer came after leading local employer Pramerica pumped up to €500,000 in ShopLK vouchers to staff as a thank you for their hard work throughout the year.

In a bid to get the local economy off to a great New year, Mr Watson decided to give away an extra 20% on all goods at his store.

The story, which we featured last Monday, went viral and even caused Watson’s Home and Hire website to crash!

Mr Watson confirmed “Just to let you know that after the story on Monday (on Donegal Daily), our website crashed! We need to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience.”

Great to hear that a good news story can cause such ruffles in the business community!
