THE odds on Sinn Fein councillor Gary Doherty being elected to the next Dáil have been slashed.
BoyleSports has Sinn Féin’s Gary Doherty on 7/4 from 5/2 having seen some shrewd support with both his fellow party candidates Pearse Doherty and Pádraig MacLochlainn heading the betting at 1/33.
However the Finn Valley man remains an outsider to take a seat, with Fianna Fail tipped to take two seats, Sinn Fein two and Fine Gael one.
