A Donegal GAA club’s pitch is at risk of flooding due to the heavy rain that has lashed Donegal over the last 24 hours.

Glenfin GAA club’s pitch is at severe risk of flooding as the river adjacent to the pitch is now almost level with the playing surface.

If the heavy rain continues then Glenfin’s playing pitch will be flooded again.

A few months ago the pitch and graveyard beside the pitch were completely flooded after Storm Frank battered the county.

Club volunteers are hoping the weather will improve – but the forecast is not good.

There is a weather warning in place for a number of coastal counties across Ireland.

There has been no weather warning for Donegal as of yet – but conditions are expected to worsen over the next 24 hours.
