LYIT Men’s Soccer team have continued their fine season with another excellent victory this time at the expense of Sligo IT.

Shane Byrne’s side are already through to the All-Ireland semi-final of the Colleges/Universities Division One – section and now have an All-Ireland Colleges quarter-final to look forward to.

Goals from Daire McDaid, Peter Doherty and Jamie Boyle secured a comprehensive 3-1 win over Sligo IT.

LYIT will now meet the winners of either IT Tallaght or Waterford IT.

LYIT will look to use the victory as momentum to for their crunch semi-final clash with Carlow next week.

Congratulations to the squad and management and we wish them well in their All-Ireland semi-final clash next week.
