Road HurlingDonegal Minor Hurling manager Lorcan O’Toole has announced the addition of Shane Walsh of SpEx Psychology Consultancy to his backroom team.

Shane has joined as Sport Psychology Consultant.

He will develop the mental skills of the team and work with the management as a performance consultant.

Lorcan O’ Toole commented “We had an intriguing conversation about what Shane will bring to the table. He has a fantastic skills set and we’re delighted to have him on board. He will bring an entirely new element to our match preparation and analysis. He will offer us an invaluable and alternative insight and another edge to our games and preparation”.

Walsh has an MSc in Sport Psychology from Waterford Institute of Technology as well as an honours degree in Sport and Wellness from IT Sligo.

He will be available to the team collectively as well as on a one to one basis.

Walsh has previously worked with the hugely successful Donegal Town Ladies Basketball Team and works with a number of local athletes and intercounty footballers across the province.
