Donegal’s fastest kids are…..David Geoghegan from Scoil Naoimh Croine in Dungloe and Vereeda Bashir, Scoil Mhuire Gan Scoil in Letterkenny.

The super-speedy kids beat off stiff from across the county the Finn Valley Centre tonight.

Vereeada Bashir, Scoil Mhuire Gan Scoil, Letterkenny recorded a time of 3.03.

While David Geoghegan, Scoil Naomh Croine, Dungloe recorded a time of 3.17.

In close proximity on the clock were girls Emily Kelly, St Mary’s, Stranorlar and Ava Crawford, St Mary’s Castlefinn both recording impressive times of 3.31.

In the boys section Caolan Mc Fadden, Scoil Mhuire, Creeslough recorded a time of 3.20 – while Jack Boyle McGlinchey, Mary’s, Castlefinn and Dean Leeper, Dooish recorded a time of 3.25.

The outright winners now proceed to Athlone IT Arena for the National Final this Saturday at 11am.

Organisation throughout the lead in and on the final night was excellently led out by Dermot Mc Granaghan and Sharon Bradley.

The event is sponsored by Firefly Foot and Ankle Clinic, Sligo.

Certificates were presented to all the finalists.
