MARK ENGLISH is the Donegal Sports Star 2015 after a superb ceremony at the Mt Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny last night.
The runner was unable to be at the glamorous occasion as he continues to prepare for the Rio Olympics.
But his father Joe thanked the committee of the annual event and urged young people to follow in Mark’s footsteps on what was an inspiring evening for all concerned.
The event marked its 40 years with a superb function, run in conjunction with Donegal County Council.
Triple Irish Olympian Meave Kyle gave an inspiring speech to the near 650 guests.
