Donegal Hurling League Game:
Unfortunately the Hurlers opened their league campaign with a defeat away to Mayo. The lads really put in a fightback but just fell short in the end on a score line of 1.14 to 0.13. Ciaran Matthewson notched up 5 points and Lee Henderson (0.01) and Paddy Hannigan were our other representatives.
Under-16 Presentations:
The club is holding presentations for the Under-16 Hurlers, Footballers and Camogie players who had success last season. The presentation will take place at the club house on Friday night with an 8.30pm start. We’d encourage as many parents to attend.
Registration:
The club are holding a registration night on Friday the 19th of February from 7.30pm to 9.00pm. Club membership forms for Juvenile, Adult and Family are also available from all club coaches/managers and to download from our website (www.seanmaccumhaill.com).  The rates are as follows: Juvenile/student is €20, Adult is €30 and family membership is €80 (2 adults and 2 plus children). Registration is extremely important and non-registration will result in your child not being insured and unable to train or play for the club so please register them. New players are more than welcome. The club will also hold additional registration nights to ensure compliance.
Bingo:
The Bingo takes place in Jackson’s Hotel on Sunday night with an 8.30pm start for the next 2 weeks. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.
Lotto Results:
There was no winner of this week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 7, 15, 21 and 22. There were 3 match three winners: Mary Doherty c/o Alan Martin, Dylan & Clara Dunnion, Patricia Gallagher, Letterkenny who all receive €50. This week’s jackpot is a massive €9,000 and Shane McNulty’s team is selling.  The club are asking for people to help out by selling lotto’s. This would involve helping to sell 1 week out of every 7 or 8 depending on the amount of teams formed. This is an important source of funding for the club and a great way to help get involved with your club. All help available would be greatly appreciated. If interested please contact Terry O’Reilly on 086 609 5347.
Training Schedule:
New players to all teams are more than welcome. Training takes place at the club unless otherwise specified. If there is a change of time/location it will be noted on Facebook or sent via text from the team manager. Training will cost €2 once a week, and all players must have their membership paid. Please bring gum shield/helmet and a bottle of water.
Training for the following teams is now taking place:
Camogie takes place at 5.00pm on Monday and 6pm on Wednesday.
Minor Boys Football is at 6.00pm on Monday and Friday from 7.00 to 8.00pm.
Under-12 Boys football is at 7.00pm on Wednesday.
Under-14 Girls football is at 6.00pm on Thursday.
Under-16 Boy’s Football is at 5.30 to 6.45 on Friday.
Hurling for Under-8s and Under-10s and Under-14 Camogie is on Sunday at 12.30pm to 2.00pm.
Club Shop:
The club has club crested shorts, socks, bags and bobble hats for a range of age groups. If anything is needed please get in contact at 087 623 6599. We have approved small sized hurling helmets in club colours with crest now half price at €55.
Donegal Yearbook:
The Donegal yearbook is now on sale. Please contact Eugene Gallagher on 086 609 8801 for a copy. This is a great book to have to look back on all the events of 2015 filled with pictures and info on each club. Book priced at €12.
