The queue outside The Hole in the Wall pub in Galway ahead of Donegal Tuesday.

Hundreds of students have been queuing for hours this morning ahead of the annual ‘Donegal Tuesday’ drinking session in Galway.

The event has become one of the most well-documented student RAG week events in Ireland over the years.

It gains national recognition every year, and the all-day drinking session attracts students from all over Ireland to Galway for the event.

Donegal Tuesday takes place in The Hole in the Wall pub in Galway, and the theme of the event is quite simply – which is you wear a Donegal GAA jersey or Donegal colours!

Some students have been queuing up since as early as 8am this morning ahead of the most eagerly anticipated student ay of the year in Galway.

Hundreds are still in the queue as we speak ahead of the marathon drinking session by the students.
