MALIN DRAW WITH ST. MARY’S IN TOM FARREN MEMORIAL CUP OPENER

TOM FARREN MEMORIAL CUP

Malin drew their opening game of the Tom Farren Memorial cup against St. Mary’s Faughanvale away on Friday night needing a late Dan McDaid goal to gain a share of the spoils in this new pre-season tournament. Terence Coulhoun and Anthony Kelly, joint managers for 2016, put out an experimental line out and will be happy to get their season up and running with a good competitive game in which they came from six points down in the second half to level. The goals came from Jonathan McLaughlin and Dan McDaid. The team on the night was Darragh McLaughlin, James Gallagher, Michael McLaughlin, Conor Byrne, Thomas McLaughlin (Ban), Declan Walsh, Conor Farren, Anthony Kelly, Kieron McColgan, Jonathan McLaughlin, Dan McDaid, Jonathan McCarron, Paul McLaughlin, Christopher Doherty and Gary Farren Sub: Edward Kelly. UNDERAGE TRAINING                                                                                                    Under 6 boys training is on every Sunday from 10:00am – 11:15am                            Under 8 boys training is on every Saturday from 3:00pm – 4:15pm                                          Under 10 boys training is on every Sunday from 11:30am – 12:45pm                                Under 12 boys training is on every Sunday from 12.45pm – 2.00pm Under 14 boys training is on every Saturday from  4.30pm – 6:00pm                          Under 16 boys training is on every Monday from 4.00pm to 5.30pm and every Friday from 5.00pm-6.30pm                                                                                                                     Under 6 and Under 8 girls training is on every Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00pm         Under 10 girls training is on every Saturday from 12:15pm – 1:15pm                        Under 14 and Under 16 girls training is on every Wednesday from 5:15pm to 6:15pm

LOTTO                                                                                                                                There was no winner of this week’s jackpot of €1150. The numbers drawn were 4-5-6-7-3-1-2. The €50 winner was Danny McDaid, Knockbrack and the €20 euro sellers prize went to Ronan McLaughlin, Carrowmore. Next week’s jackpot is €1200.

INDOOR SPORTS HALL AND FUNCTION ROOM BOOKINGS                    Anyone looking to book the indoor sports hall or the upstairs function & meeting rooms for any activities, classes or meetings are asked to contatct Susan Byrne on 0749370638 or 0867832242. The upstairs function room is an ideal venue for private parties with full kitchen, stage, toilet and bar facilities.

SHOP                                                                                                                                      The club shop is open every Saturday from 12.00 – 2.00 and Sunday from 11.20 – 2.00 or alternatively contact Susan Byrne on 9370638 or 0867832242 . The shop also has a great range of stock in all sizes including coats, jackets, hoodies, tracksuits, socks, shorts, hats, new gear bags and much more club merchandise.

SYMPATHY                                                                                                                           The club would like to express their condolences to the family of Tim Finnegan, Bocan who passed away recently. Tim was a supporter of the club and took the senior team on one of their very first trips away to his home club in Kerry back in the 90’s.
