A NUMBER of roads in the county are closed today after a spate of accidents caused by black ice.

Gardaí say the Burnfoot to Muff road is closed while a clear-up operation continues.

A car ended up on its roof in that incident but no-one was seriously injured. There was also a crash near Quigley’s Point.

There were several other smashes including one at Ballyarr Bridge outside Ramelton and on the Glenties road at Ballymacool, Letterkenny, the back of Errigal road and outside Donegal Town.
