GENERAL ELECTION: Frank McBreary has made in history this afternoon when he cast his vote in the ballot box in Raphoe.

It was the first time that McBrearty’s entitre immediate family were of age to vote!

McBrearty was joined at the polling booth by his wife Patricia, and their children Frankie, Chantel, Shannon and Leanne.

The Independent candidate’s two daughters Shannon and Leanne who are studying at Queen’s University Belfast and University of Maynooth respectively – travelled home to cast their votes!

The family voted in their local town of Raphoe where McBrearty holds the record for the highest vote ever.

In the last general election the Cllr topped the poll with 580 votes and he’ll be hoping to do just as well this time around.
